Bulahdelah BioCarbon Steelmaking Project
BioCarbon is progressing a commercial-scale renewable carbon manufacturing facility in Bulahdelah, NSW, supporting the decarbonisation of electric arc furnace (EAF) steelmaking in Australia. The project will supply renewable carbon products designed to replace fossil-based coke in EAF operations, helping steel producers reduce Scope 1 emissions while maintaining performance and cost competitiveness.

Using sustainably sourced biomass, the facility will produce renewable carbon for steelmaking, delivering measurable emissions reductions and supporting responsible forest management, regional jobs, and advanced manufacturing in regional NSW.
