​Two Rivers BioCarbon Project
BioCarbon is excited to partner with an industry-leading Australian Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) operator on the Two Rivers project, located at a sawmill in Bulahdelah, NSW. This groundbreaking initiative will see the development of a new commercial manufacturing facility designed to produce 8,000 tonnes of EAF charge coke product, a critical component in significantly reducing the steel mill’s Scope 1 emissions.

The project will source its biomass from sustainably managed forests, ensuring that the entire process supports both environmental and industrial sustainability. By leveraging renewable carbon from these sustainable forests, the Two Rivers project not only provides a cleaner alternative for steel production but also promotes long-term forest health and carbon sequestration.
